Gargoyles are protective creatures, and at the height of the pandemic in 2020, NYC felt like it needed protection. I started sticking colorful little creatures and messages on street corners and people seemed to like them.
My style is Lichtenstein and Warhol by way of Marvel and Star Wars. Always positive, always colorful.
Colors are Copic markers on vinyl adhesive paper, then black ink on top while still wet, using an old inkjet printer.
